HERITAGE

The CREATION of TALISAY SUGBO LODGE No. 422 was envisioned two years ago by VW DAVID S. ODILAO, JR. PGJL by way of inviting Master Masons from different Masonic lodges in Cebu, namely: Mt. MORIAH LODGE No. 252, MACTAN LODGE No. 30, CEBU LODGE No. 128 and DATU LAPULAPU LODGE No. 347, to be its charter members and was instituted on September 15, 2014. With the valued assistance of the charter members, the TALISAY SUGBO LODGE (UD) was assigned Lodge No. 422, during the ANCOM on April 23, 2015 at LEGASPI CITY, signifying that its Charter application has been duly approved. Thereafter, the constitution and first public installation of officers of the lodge was conducted on June 8, 2015 at PARKLANE INTERNATIONAL HOTEL, CEBU CITY with MW TOMAS G. RENTOY as its Guest of Honor and Speaker. VW Paul S. ALCAZAREN was installed as the Charter Worshipful Master.

HERALDRY

TALISAY SUGBO LODGE No. 422 was named after the city where most of the brethren are supposed to be coming from and will cater to new petitioners from the south side of CEBU PROVINCE. The SEAL of the lodge consists of the following features – a. The shape of the seal is that of a shield. It signifies protection from all harm and sickness to the brethren and their families. b. Within the shield is a Masonic altar, a bible, square and compasses which reminds the brethren to always seek the assistance of GOD in all its endeavors and be models of righteousness and practice the virtues taught in us in freemasonry. c. Also inside the seal is a lighthouse which signifies the light emitted thereof will guide us to the rightful path in the pursuit of complying our Masonic obligations to GOD, to country and towards all mankind especially among us brethren. D. The Masonic tools instruct the brethren to be more noble in spreading the cement of brotherly love, relief and truth, and affection which unites us into a band or society of friends and brothers, keep our passions within due bounds and ever remembering to treat our brethren always on the level, and never to forget that our time is dedicated in part to the service of GOD and to our country and family.
