HERITAGE

     Brethren of La Paz, TARLAC have been planning of having their own Lodge, considering that, at that time, there was no Masonic Lodge in the Third Congressional District of TARLAC comprising the Municipalities of CAPAS, BAMBAN and La Paz, except one in Concepcion, TARLAC later in 2013. It was about time that La Paz, TARLAC, on the east by ZARAGOSA, Nueva ECIJA, on the south by Concepcion, TARLAC and on the west by TARLAC City, should have its own Lodge. Previously, the proposed name of the Lodge was CAMA JUAN LODGE, named after the old pueblo situated right along the bank of Chico River Bordering La Paz, TARLAC and ZARAGOZA, Nueva ECIJA, but the brethren finally agreed that it be known as La Paz Lodge after the name of the municipality like PURA Lodge No. 312, CAPAS Lodge No. 356 and TARLAC KAUNLARAN Lodge No. 360, all of the Province of TARLAC, Proudly to be called as such, La Paz, TARLAC was made the first seat of the revolutionary government of the Province of TARLAC during the Spanish regime. True to their commitment, after the 2013 ANCOM held in ILOILO CITY, the brethren reconvened and through the effort of VW RODEL L. MILLADO, then Immediate PDDGM and designated as its first Lodge Secretary, he painstakingly prepared all the requirements for the formation of La Paz Lodge. During the scheduled final organizational meeting held on November 5, 2013 at La MAJA Rica Hotel in TARLAC City which happened to be the 49th birthday of the Worshipful Master-Nominee, VW Reynaldo D. David, PDGL, all required documents were ready to be submitted to the Grand Lodge, Senior Warden-Nominee and Junior Warden-Nominee were Bro. DIONISIO L. Manuel, three (3) –term Municipal Mayor of La Paz, TARLAC and Bro. Michael C. Manuel, succeeding Municipal Mayor of La Paz, TARLAC, respectively. The Dispensation was granted by MW JUANITO G. ESPINO, JR. No. and the Lodge, was instituted on November 26, 2013 at the Stafford Hall, PLARIDEL MASONIC TEMPLE, 1140 SAN MARCELINO St., MALATE, MANILA. Installed as officers of La Paz Lodge U.D. were the following, namely: Worshipful Master, VW Reynaldo D. David, PDGL; Senior Warden, WB DIONISIO MANUEL; and Junior Warden WB Michael M. Manuel. During the ANCOM 2014 held at the SM Mall of Asia, Pasay City, La Paz Lodge U.D. was the only Lodge among the fifteen Lodges under dispensation which was granted its Charter. The Lodge was constituted by MW Alan L.M. PURISIMA on June 17, 2014 at its own temple.
