HERITAGE
In the afternoon of 26 June 2009, the scheduled official awarding of lot to San MARCELINO Lodge No. 380 by Bro. Jerry D. AZURIN, Sr. and the start of the construction of its temple, some of the members of ZAMBALES Lodge No. 103, Mt. Redondo Lodge No. 372 and San MARCELINO Lodge No. 380 had talked and discussed the feasibility of forming a Masonic Lodge in the town of CASTILLEJOS, ZAMBALES. Those present were VW CARLITO B. Faustino, PDDGM of MD RIII-C (now MD RIII-ZAMBALES), VW ARSENIO L. QUIJANO, Jr., PDGL. VW TOMASITO N. Angeles, who was then the DDGM of MD RIII-C (now MD RIII-ZAMBALES), WM Marvin A. Go, who was then the WM of San MARCELINO Lodge No. 380, WM Cesar C. Castillo, WM of ZAMBALES Lodge No. 103 and other Bro. Masons of ZAMBALES. On August 22, 2009, Justice ALEJO Labrador Memorial Lodge U.D. was instituted by MW Peter U. Lim Lo SUY at PLARIDEL Masonic Temple, Grand Lodge of the Philippines, San MARCELINO St, ERMITA, Manila and it was attended by Brother Masons from ZAMBALES and Manila. On June 05, 2010, MW AVELINO I. RAZON, Jr., who was then the Grand MASTER, has constituted Justice ALEJO Labrador Memorial Lodge No. 395 at Unity Masonic temple inside SBFZ.
HERALDRY
This lodge was named after the name of JUSTICE ALEJO LABRADOR, a Past Master of Mt. Pinatubo Lodge No. 52 in 1927. He was a former Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the Philippines (April 22, 1952 –July 17, 1964) appointed during the QUIRINO Administration. He finished his Elementary Education in ZAMBALES and his Secondary Education at the Manila High School in 1912. He obtained his Associate in Business (Cum Laude) and Bachelor of Laws Degrees from the University of the Philippines. He took and topped the Bar Examination in 1918. He started as an Assistant Examiner at the Bureau of Civil Service then as a Law Clerk at the Bureau of Lands and was Chief of Law Division at the Bureau of Internal Revenue. In 1922, he became the representative of the Lone District of ZAMBALES to the 6th and 7th Philippine Legislature and a Judge at the Court of 1st instance in 1936. He also served as Chief at the Division of Judicial Administration and as Vice Minister of Justice. During the Japanese Government, he served as Justice of the Court of Appeals for Northern Luzon as well as in 1946. He was Presiding Justice at the Court of Appeals in 1950 and as Associate Justice of the Supreme Court in 1952. He retired at the age of 70. As for the logo, Justice ALEJO Labrador Memorial Lodge No. 395 is the name of the lodge named after the late Bro. ALEJO Labrador, PM of Pinatubo Lodge No.52, of Masonic District in ZAMBALES and a former associate Justice of Supreme Court of the Philippines. The two (2) side SQUARES allude to evaluate twice one’s act appertains to both Masonic and personal life. The SQUARE and COMPASSES refers to constantly safeguarded our action and passion within due bound towards all mankind. Last of all, the two (2) OUTSIDE RINGS imply the absolute bond of the brethren withers ever disperse.
