Cosmo P. Antonio Lodge No. 339
The Name
The lodge was named in honor of VW Cosmo P. Antonio, a Past Master of Isagani Lodge No. 96, a Junior Grand Lecturer for West Central Luzon during the term of MW Franklin J. Demonteverde, and one of the pillars of Masonry in the province of Tarlac. Initiated in August 1963 he was active in the Fraternity till his death in June 1999.
The Lodge
Grand Master Oscar V. Bunyi issued a dispensation to twenty-nine brethren on May 13, 2000 authorizing them to form a lodge in Tarlac City to be named Cosmo P. Antonio Lodge. Named Dispensation Officers of the lodge were Jesus B. David, Master; Bienvenido C. Antonio, Senior Warden; and Antonio W. Perez, Junior Warden.
On July 21, 2000, MW Bunyi motored to Tarlac City and, with the assistance of Deputy Grand Master Napoleon A. Soriano, VW Jolly Panajon, VW John B. Llamas, VW Bert Pagotan, and VW George Chua Cham, formally instituted the lodge and installed its dispensation officers. At the annual communication of the Grand Lodge in April 2001, Cosmo P. Antonio Lodge was granted a dispensation and assigned number 339. The following May 5, 2001, Grand Master Napoleon A. Soriano went to Tarlac
City to constitute the lodge. After laying the cornerstone for the proposed Temple of the lodge in Barangay Baras-baras, Tarlac City, the Grand Master and his party proceeded to the Tarlac National High School Multi-Purpose Hall where they formally constituted Cosmo P Antonio Lodge No. 339 and thereafter installed its officers for the Masonic Year 2001-2002.
