MW Bambol Tolentino, as he prefers to be called, had his primary education at St. Augustine School, Mendez, Cavite, a neighboring town of Tagaytay City. His secondary education is at St. Anthony School, Manila. He finished his Bachelor of Science in Commerce (Major in Management) at San Beda College and his Master of Science in Fiscal Studies at the Lyceum of the Philippines. After that, he took an Executive Course on Leadership, Chaos, Conflict & Courage for the 21st Century at the John F. Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University and Executive Course on National Security at the Institute for Extramural and Continuing Studies, National Defense College of the Philippines.

Rooted in his genes as the youngest son of Isaac O. Tolentino who served Tagaytay City for 26 years as City Mayor, he stepped into the political arena, devoting himself to public service as a Congressman of the Seventh District of Cavite from 2013-Present. In Congress, he is the incumbent Assistant Majority Floor Leader of the Commission on Appointments. He also current serves as the Chairman of Agriculture and Food and is Vice-Chair of Agrarian Reform, National Defense and Rules & Resolutions on the Commission on Appointments. Before his current stint in our country’s national legislature, he served as Tagaytay City Mayor from 2004-2013, City Councilor from 1998-2004. That 28 years of public service is a feat for a servant. Noteworthy to state that his family of servants includes former MMDA Chairman Atty. Francis N. Tolentino.
